- NSG01 - Signaller
- OG01 - Guard
- WBD01 - Westinghouse Brake Systems
This course is for workers who want to qualify as a Section Car Operator. You must be a qualified signaller before applying for this program
No application required - Start immediately once you have qualified as a Signaller: This course is a pre-requisite for Guard, Section Car Driver, Track Vehicle Operator, Train Controller, Diesel Driver and Steam Driver
No application is required for this course: Only for workers who are progressing to Steam Fireman, Diesel or Steam Driver.
For all workers who wish to act as Guard. Completing Train Working (OTR) & being qualifed as a Signaller is the pre-requisite.
For all workers who want to progress to Steam Locomotive Fireman. Qualifying as a Guard is an essential prerequisite.
Pre-requisites: You need to be qualified as a Guard and have completed relevant sections of Westinghouse Brake.
For all workers who wish to act as Steam Fireman. You must have, or be working towards obtaining a High-Risk Work Licence.
For workers who are experienced Firemen and wish to progress to Steam Locomotive Driver.
